The high-pressure line between the compressor and the condenser will get very hot, too hot to touch, under normal operating conditions. The compressor raises the pressure of the refrigerant to over 300 PSI and all the compression adds a lot of heat to the refrigerant so that is perfectly normal.Head on 410 at 100° will be in the 375 - 400 range depending on surrounding conditions, sun, heat load inside, dirt on the coil. high suction pressure could be from a …You can notice low airflow right away by measuring the CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) using a rotating vane anemometer at the indoor head units and comparing that to the BTU/HR capacity of each head unit. Since then, the production of new R-22 has been slowly winding down and will stop completely at the …Heating mode: outside temp >65F: Run AUX only - lock out compressor (avoid high pressure) outside temp >10F and <65F: Run compressor and AUX as needed. outside temp <10F: Run AUX only - lock out compressor (avoid defrost cycling) Cooling mode: outside temp <60F: lock out compressor, run air handler fan only.Due to the flammability and high operating pressures of R32, existing equipment (e.g. manifolds, gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery units) must be checked for compatibility. Any potential sources of ignition from electrical equipment must be eliminated. EQUIPMENT GUIDE R32 calibrated gauge manifold set Electronic refrigerant detector, ratedR-410A is considered to be a more efficient refrigerant than R-22 because it helps HVAC equipment achieve higher SEER ratings. Additionally, R-410A has higher thermodynamic and transport properties making it more efficient in the refrigeration system than R-22. Therefore, this gives R-410A a higher refrigeration capacity than R-22.Generally, you will see normal superheat (8°-14°) on a system with heat mode TXV, and the subcooling will generally be a bit higher than usual, especially when measured outside. Suction Pressure/EVAP DTD Rule of Thumb Another common old-school rule of thumb is that suction pressure should be close to the outdoor temperature in an R22 system. mixed or blended refrigerants such as R407C and R410A, in which multiple refrigerants with different boiling points are mixed, their isothermal lines have gradients in the saturated area, so the saturation temperatures under certain pressure are different at the liquid side and the gas side. They are called zeotropic refrigerants, The low-pressure side, when connected to the gauge, should read less than 100 psi. PSI is the common measurement for pressure used in terms of pounds per square inch. By the time the refrigerant reaches these lines it has lost most of its heat and has collapsed into a liquid state, taking up less volume. This leads to a low-pressure environment ...It is stamped 4lbs 15oz. for the manufactures charge of 410A. 4. Suction Pressure/EVAP DTD Rule of Thumb Another common old-school rule of thumb is that suction pressure should be close to the outdoor temperature in an R22 system. I originally wrote this guideline back in 2003 and truthfully, not much has changed since then in regards to checking a heat mode charge on a heat pump.
